Firefox 3 beta with password bug by falko
11 04 2008I’m just testing the new Firefox 3 beta browser. It’s nice, fast and doesn’t have large memory footprint.
But unfortunately I trapped into a bug that prevented me from loggin in to several websites. There is a known bug in the international version of FF3 for MacOS which prevents special charactars in input fields of type “password”. So if you have accounts with a password containing special character you probably can’t log in.

This is a MacOS-only bug. It doesn’t occur in the Linux or Windows version. It also only occurs when you enter the password by hand. You can paste it via the clipboard or use the character palette and it will work. But it wont work if you enter it manually.
